No kidding! They might be useful for keeping our population going, but that seems to be about it. (Well, my grandfather was something special, though.)

A friend who was selling her latest novel was tempted to grab a piece of paper and just scribble one hastily, but I think it was too late by then.

Thanks. We're both beyond relieved! (And, OMG, the truffles are absolutely heavenly. One batch of chocolate-chip-cookie-dough, and another of mint/candy cane. Wow! And we have a recipe for mashed-potato ones that I'm very curious about.)

Oooh, they sound so decadent!

There are good guys out there, but there are more idiots than anything else.

Just found out mum's brother, my uncle, passed away on Saturday. He's the last of that generation of our family, but he was one of the special ones.

Thanks *hugs back* It's so weird, mum was the youngest of six and now they're all gone. I wasn't expecting him to last much longer, he wasn't in the best of health, but it's still hard to get my head around it.
